On 10 October 2025, an Agreement for the allocation of Western Balkans Joint European Fund (WBIF) grant for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) was executed in Ulcinj.
The Grant Agreement and the Separate Agreement were signed by Mr. Damjan Culafic, the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Region Development, Mr. Klaus Müller, director of KfW, Mr. Genci Nimanbegu, Mayor of Ulcinj and Mr. Dragan Roganovic, Executive Director of Vodacom.
The execution was attended by the European Union Ambassador to Montenegro, Mr. Johan Satler, and the German Ambassador, Mr. Peter Felten.
The WBIF funds for the implementation of the works contract for the construction of the WWTP and the related infrastructure for the Municipality of Ulcinj amount to Euro 30.7 million.”
