Today in Ulcinj, on the 20th of July 2022, the contract with the first ranked bidder MPP Jedinstvo A.D – Sevojno, Srbija, was signed for the reconstruction and improvement of water supply and sewerage network in the municipality of Ulcinj.

The contract was, on behalf of Municipality Ulcinj signed by Mayor Omer Bajrakatari and by Secretary of the Secretariat for communal activities and environmental protection, Minir Karamanaga, and on behalf of company Jedinstvo, the contract was signed by executive director Siniša Zorić.

The contract signing was attended by the Minister of ecology, spatial planning and urbanism of Montenegro, Ana Novaković Đurović, representatives of the German development KfW bank, Director of the communal infrastructure department Arne Gooss, Project manager Stephan Raabe, Lead engineer Dirk Vallerien, Željko Uljarević (KfW Montenegro), representative of consulting company Hydrophil Gerald Eder, representatives of the project executing agency Vodacom from Tivat, its executive director Dragan Roganović and Tonko Lukšić, Vodacom project manager for Ulcinj.

The works in this contract are part of a loan agreement between the government of Montenegro, i.e., the Ministry of finances and the German development bank (KFW) and Vodacom, for the project Water supply and sanitation on the Montenegrin coast – phase V, signed in 2013, out of which 20 million of these funds are intended to be used for solving water supply problems and regulating waste water management in the municipality of Ulcinj. The works are planned to commence in September.

The ceremony of the contract signing in Ulcinj was preceded by a meeting at the Government of Montenegro with the Prime minister Dritan Abazović, Minister of economic development and tourism Goran Đurović and Minister of human and minority rights Fatmir Đeka.

Abazović expressed his satisfaction with the fact that realization of this project has finally begun, stating also that this project is one of the largest infrastructural projects in the recent decades in Ulcinj.

In addition to details pertaining to the project in Ulcinj, representatives of Vodacom, Dragan Roganović and Tonko Lukšić informed the Prime minister Abazović also of a series of planned projects, especially the projects intended to contribute to completing the water supply network in the bay of Boka Kotorska and to infrastructural improvements in Tivat.
